What Fresh Start does?

The aim of Fresh Start is to provide more services to older people to enable them to live as independently as possible for as long as they choose to do so. The menu of services falls into four categories:

Services in the Home - this includes a gardening service and working with meals on wheels and other organisations.  We also hope to set up a shopping service. 

Information and Sign Posting - this includes our information days and our information givers as well as courses such as Healthy Retirement.

Health and Social Care - we have a toenail cutting service and a bathing service.  We also are involved with the PCT in helping people  with long term conditions.  We are involved in running Occupational Therapy Clinics and lue Badge Assessment Clincs so that they are more local.

 Active Lifestyles / Getting Together - this is where all of our activities such as the Tea Dance, Story Writing and Luncheon Clubs fit in.  As well as our work with Leisure to promote active ageing.
